No one ever asks themselves why giving make a difference, when approached to donate time, resources or both. However, there are many reasons your support makes a difference. Sure the feeling of giving is AMAZING but there is more. For instance, a teacher and child we serve will have a better annual school experience while being taught.
Participating in charitable giving is life-changing and the difference becomes an overall benchmark on the performance for students. Students who are in undeserved schools include food insecurity, improper teaching tools, and the list goes on. Issues arrive in classrooms that more of a social issue than a learning issue.
What a difference clean uniforms, well-fitted shoes or student supplies can make towards a child's effort to pay closer attention in the classroom. The difference also means that a child isn’t hungry, or cold during those harsh winter months. But let’s not forget our teachers, there will be a behavior problem, but adding the lack of supplies and support to classroom management can be overwhelming too. So how does giving make a difference? We answered the question, will you help us continue our initiatives?
2019 we provided over 30 students with 50.00 dollar gift cards under our OpenTable initiative for Thanksgiving; That's 1 classroom.
We desire to raise 800 food gift cards for the 2020 OpenTable initiative. Do you know anyone that would love to participate? If so send them our way! We would love to Build2Bridge in the Gaps in the community with them through resources! #blog #education #foodscarcity
