What We Think, We Become.

As February 14, 2020 approaches, and we are bombarded with ads, social media marketing promotions for Valentine's day. There are ads on sentimental cards, big sales on candy, and flowers to show our undying affections for those we love the most and if you are single right now, that's okay, the Cupids of Marketing have blessed singles with Galentines! This is for those ladies without an admirer, and still wanting to participate in the holiday without guilt. Galentines suggest that ladies should dine out with your girlfriends. Will today, we would like to send a Happy Valentines to everyone and remind you to love yourself and others as this day may bring on some sadness to some maybe even a sense of melancholy. Holidays are hard for some, but investing in a more healthy heart and mind, for this Valentine's holiday we have some suggestions for you.

Healthy Heart, Healthy Mind

  1. Spend time with your older family members, volunteer your time at your local senior living facility, or visit an elderly neighbor.

  2. Share smiles or treats with office or classmates and we love giving and accepting gifts who don't? You are thinking outside the box, and if you come up with really cool creative ways to give them. So not only are you thinking outside the box, but you are staying within policy.

  3. Love on yourself, show yourself some self-compassion, go to a movie you have been putting off, take a stroll while enjoying the night lights, make dinner for yourself and catch up on your favorite shows or take a long relaxing bath.

  4. Go to the gym, did you know that working out has the same effect as being in love, yep! working out not only keeps you physically fit but it also improves your mental health and that my friends will bring on peace, and dopamine.
