About the Event
Ms. April Edwards is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 yrs. of experience. She began her career as a social worker in a residential substance abuse program for Women and has spent the majority of career serving those with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Ms. Edwards has held multiple roles over the course of her career and currently serves as the Chief of the Homeless Program and Assistant Chief of Social Work Services for the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Ms. Edwards is also a CARF Surveyor and provides guidance and technical assistance to agencies seeking CARF Certification.
She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of Pittsburgh. She has a BSW and MSW in Social Work. Ms. Edwards is a proven performer and goal-oriented leader Thinking Outside the Box, "While staying within Policy."
